Cora Frost gives Bennet Legal Research Group its voice. As Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, she owns the firm's brand, market positioning, and the way its work is understood by the clients who need it most. In a field defined by discretion, she has mastered the difficult art of building a formidable reputation quietly — letting the firm's results speak, and making sure the right people are listening.

Background

Cora earned her B.A. in English from Northwestern University and an M.S. in integrated marketing communications from its Medill School. She began her career in professional-services marketing, where she learned that the most sophisticated buyers are moved not by slogans but by evidence of substance, precisely delivered.

She was drawn to Bennet because it gave her something rare to work with: a firm whose claims were all true. Her challenge has been to convey the depth of the firm's capability to an elite audience without ever compromising the discretion that audience demands.

Colleagues describe her as strategically minded, allergic to hype, and unusually skilled at finding the true story inside complex work.

Career

Before Bennet, Cora served as Head of Brand and Communications at Renwick & Sterne, a global advisory firm, where she led positioning, thought leadership, and client communications across the firm's markets. She was recognized for building a brand that felt as rigorous as the work behind it, and for a refusal to overpromise that clients came to trust.

Earlier she was Director of Marketing Strategy at Calder Pierce, a research and consulting company, where she developed the firm's market strategy and led the campaigns that established it with a demanding professional audience. She began her career at a marketing agency serving law firms and financial institutions.

Across her career she built a specialty in marketing to sophisticated buyers — general counsels, managing partners, and executives who see through anything less than the truth.

At Bennet

As head of Marketing and Strategy, Cora owns the firm's brand, positioning, and market strategy, along with the client storytelling that translates Bennet's complex intelligence work into a clear, credible promise. She built the firm's voice around confidence earned rather than asserted.

She partners with Robert on market strategy and client development, and works across the leadership team to ensure that the firm's outward story is an honest reflection of the work within. She is disciplined that Bennet is presented as a research and intelligence firm — never as a provider of legal advice — and she protects that distinction in every message.

She also leads the firm's thought leadership, curating a small body of published perspective designed to demonstrate substance rather than chase attention.

Approach & philosophy

Cora believes that for a firm like Bennet, restraint is the most powerful marketing there is. She would rather say less and mean all of it than say more and dilute the firm's credibility.

She holds that a brand is a promise, and that the marketer's first job is to make sure the firm can always keep the promise she makes on its behalf.
